They offer fast growth rates and a high meat-to-bone ratio. Silver Fox does are known for being excellent, calm mothers, and are docile and easy to handle, making them suitable for beginners or family homesteads. The cross often inherits better, denser fur than a pure New Zealand, making them useful for pelts. This cross is favored to produce thick, high-quality, dense fur (good for tanning) and good meat yield.
