Wascally Wabbitry breeds pure New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits with a focus on genetic diversity and meat production in hot weather. We mostly sell breeding trios.
What makes Wascally Wabbitry unique is that we breed two different strains of pure New Zealand White rabbits: TAMUK NZW and M70 NZW. Both of these are pure New Zealand White rabbits bred specifically for high efficiency meat production. These two strains have lots of genetic diversity between them and we have seen about 13% higher growth rate ("hybrid vigor") when crossing the two strains, and the offspring are still 100% pure NZW.
We are a small-scale farm located in central Alabama in the town of Empire. We currently raise New Zealand whites, Californian, and Silver Fox rabbits.
Buckeye Rabbits raises heritage American Breed Rabbits and TAMUK Composites.
We raise American rabbits in blue, black, and white. We also have NZW, NZ/cal crosses, along with some rex mix, and mixed lops for pets. I have been raising rabbits for around 20 years, so I have lots of experience.
We currently raise New Zealands and Continental Giants (2023 - not available yet). Occasionally, we will have other rabbit breeds available.
